During Art Basel Hong Kong 2025, architect, artist, and collector William Lim joined forces with fashion designer Katerin Theys to launch Night Safari, a limited-edition collection that blurs the boundaries between art, architecture, and fashion.

The collaboration grew from a creative partnership that began more than a decade earlier when Katerin joined CL3 Architects in Hong Kong. Over the years, both designers developed a shared appreciation for storytelling, craftsmanship, cultural influences, and the relationship between art and design.

The resulting collection transforms William Lim’s vibrant paintings into wearable pieces. Inspired by themes of mystery, nature, architecture, and the excitement of discovery, the artworks feature exotic animals, rich colours, and references to both Eastern and Western visual traditions.

Designed by Katerin Theys as fluid silk drapes, each piece can be worn in multiple ways or displayed as wall art, creating a dialogue between fashion and collectible design. The versatility of the garments reflects one of the core principles behind the Katerin Theys label: creating timeless pieces that can evolve with the wearer.

For Katerin, the project also offered an opportunity to further explore the connection between architecture and fashion.

The Night Safari collection combines William Lim’s expressive artistic language with Katerin’s architectural approach to silhouette and draping. The result is a series of limited-edition wearable artworks that celebrate craftsmanship, cultural exchange, and creative collaboration.

The collection was launched during Art Basel Hong Kong and remains available through selected Katerin Theys showrooms.
