In 2025, Katerin Theys participated in Expo 2025 Osaka, one of the world’s largest international exhibitions bringing together countries, organizations, and visitors from across the globe.

The event marked an important moment for the brand’s growing international visibility. During the Expo, Katerin Theys designs were showcased within the Belgian Pavilion, introducing the collection to an international audience.

The Expo would later play an unexpected role in one of the brand’s most significant milestones. During a visit to the Belgian Pavilion, Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium noticed a Katerin Theys design being worn by the pavilion’s director. According to Katerin, the encounter led to further interest from the Princess and her team, who later visited the Katerin Theys showroom in Belgium to select pieces from the collection.

Several months later, Princess Astrid wore Katerin Theys designs throughout the Belgian Economic Mission to California, bringing international attention to the brand.

Expo 2025 Osaka therefore became more than an exhibition opportunity. It formed part of a chain of events that helped introduce the Katerin Theys label to a wider audience while reinforcing the brand’s connection between Belgium and Asia.
